Night Before

Well, it was a hectic and tiring day. I'm exhausted. How does my mom have so much energy? I don't think she realizes she has as much as she has. Had a great day hanging out with mom, Tiff & Kilee. My 3 favorite ladies in the world. Getting really nervous for tomorrow. Funny thing happened this morning, my makeup bag disappeared. We searched the house for hours looking for it to no avail. Mike got home and found it. It was in my desk drawer! No clue how it got there. I think I'm losing my mind. Costco is awesome! Gotta get a membership. Well, see you on the other side!

Tomorrow's the BIG Day!

OMG I can't believe tomorrow's the big day! WOW! Tiff got here around 7pm last night. So happy to see her. Feels like it's been forever. We fixed them pizza, cheese bites & pizza rolls for dinner. The little pigs! I'm starving! Got a lot planned for today. Taking mom to one of my favorite stores called Five Below. Going to the hospital to visit a friend, Michelle Cagle, who is having DS today. Oh, and Tiff is taking us to Costco!

Family & Friends Arrive

Wow, yesterday was eventful...to say the least! I go up and went to the ER at 4am to check for a blood clot. I got home with a clean bill of health at 8:15 and had to rush out the door to pickup mom after an entire night of zero sleep. Mike stayed home with Kilee. Not sure why he didn't want to go with me. He knew I hadn't slept. Mom's here now and we've been running around town and waiting on Tiff to arrive. Looks like she'll be here around 7pm tonight. Mom and I went to UGO, Food City & Kroger. Apparently our meat here is really expensive compared to Alabama. Today started my 1st day of liquid only. So, it's shakes and bullion and nothing else. I'm so over the liquids. After surgery I'll have a full month of liquid only. Oh boy! Wish we didn't have a 2-story home. Mom has such a tough time going up and down the stairs. Kilee is so excited she's here.

Almost There!

Well, I've waited for months. Boy, I didn't think this time would ever come, but it's finally here. I've been up all night long and started this blog as a way to track my journey. Not sure why I can't sleep. I've been laying in bed for hours. About 2 hours ago my leg started hurting. It's hurting in the calf of my left leg. It's very tender to touch. I'm getting a little worried since it won't stop. I keep going to the bathroom to check it out. No redness. Hmmm. I think I may end up heading to the ER. What if it's a blood clot and I end up dead on the operating table Tuesday? Ugh! Ok, out of bed I go. It's 4am. Guess I'll be getting ready by flashlight and going to have it checked out. I have to leave to pickup mom near Nashville at 8am.
